Our pandesal is an unspoken necessity for our brands at The Maginhawa Group. As a restaurant group, we wanted to continuously break the mould in the world of food by innovation. Panadera Loaf is a pandesal transformed into a loaf, a Filipino tradition bound to be the star for all seasons.
Apart from the regular pandesal and bilogs that we produce at Mamasons, we wanted this star product to be converted into something special every single day. We were inspired by the rise of shokupan, which is a very light and fluffy milk bread from Japan and we wanted to emulate a Filipino version of a sando by offering a corned beef hash and egg flavours to the masses.
In our Filipino Pan-Asian Fusion restaurant, Bintang - we launched our brand new breakfast menu last summer through our Filipino french toast. We regularly use this loaf as our Purple Haze French Toast topped with ube halaya, queso mascarpone, and coconut latik.
Sister restaurant next door, Guanabana has also used this integral ingredient to serve our Burger buns. Apart from the juicy gourmet flavours we’ve added into our burger, we wanted to infuse these with the sweetness of a pandesal.
As our businesses continue to grow, we wanted this signature loaf to be available to the masses, especially for our neighbourhood. Our loaves are designed to be eaten at any point of the day - either for breakfast, lunch, or for dinner perfect pairings for either some sweet or your savoury cravings.
